Color Me Rad Toronto!

On Saturday June 22, 2013, a team of 14 sisters ran the Color Me Rad 5K race in
support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Toronto.

Here's a bit about the cause:
"Big Brothers Big Sisters has set the benchmark nationally as Canada’s best-known mentoring organization. Mentoring is shown to facilitate life-changing relationships that inspire and empower children and youth to reach their full potential. Our mission is to improve the lives of Toronto’s children and youth by delivering the highest quality volunteer based mentoring programs. In 2012, more than 1790 children and youth’s lives were positively changed by mentorship – helping them to build stronger futures."

Knowing the strong bond between Bigs and Littles, we aimed to raise $500 for the cause. By race day we had raised $1,085 making us the top fundraisers for the event!  A special thank you goes to, Walter Cimowsky - Ocean Partners, Ltd., Bob Atkinson, Carrie Illsley, Katherine McDonald, Ksenija Stupar, AOII Beta Tau Team,  Martin Kotowych, Daniel Prelich,  Lindsay Marino,  Caitlin Cimowsky,  Lydia Oliverio,  Connor Cimowsky,  Katey Bunting,  Emily Yu Feng,  Jessica Calhoun, Krystal Mercer, Lisa Thomson,  Kelsey Cole,  Clara Mitchell, Judy Atkinson,
and Tara Sinclair who all contributed to helping us go above and beyond our goal!

The event was full of energy and was definitely memorable- we even ran into another sister from another chapter! We're always interested in finding fun new ways  to give back to the community and the Color Me Rad race was a perfect fit! Thank you Color Me Rad and BBBST for the incredible opportunity and to everyone who supported us through our colourful journey!
